Philipp Wolgast - Unshaved

Kompass Musik after attendance’s as Extrawelt, Remute, Tigerskin or Heerhorst & Meissner edit, for the second time a work by Philip Wolgast. After “My Maid Siren” is held in 2006 by him, now is the time of “Unshaved”, a disc very well composed, with 3 exceptional music. It is in the a side that you can listen my favorite, named “unrasiert und der heimat fern”, capable of making anyone dance, getting our interior, feeding a whole natural adrenaline. Excelent building accompanied by a devastating bassline . The remix was made by the Argentine Juan Franco Di Lorenzo aka Dilo, giving greater energy to the music, with the appropriate break always in the right time, carrying subtle touches of piano for his remix. For the lovers of ghost entries, after a pause well achieved, we have “within”, with a very tribal percursion, very well crafted regarded to time and the addition of important factors in its development. Disk completely advisable to our dear readers

Extrawelt - Dist Theme

Dist Theme, the long awaited Ep from Extrawelt is finally out! The first release with the German duo - Arne Schaffhausen & Wayan Raabe - at Kompass Musik couldn't be better. A-side music (my favorite) can trick us up, it starts with a 4x4 beat, completely dry, that goes on and on and you start to imagine they aren't going anywhere... but then the melody rises and the story gains another feeling, the mixture between different styles like progressive trance and minimal techno ends up in a brilliant music. I didn't like the 2nd music that much but it's also a fine production with a nice groove directed to early hours in the night! "Yeah But No But Yeah", the last one, is absolutely insane. This one evolves to minimal techno standards with a melancholic melody coming along with it. It's a bit disturbing, but very well produced. Anyway it's a very nice release by one of our favorite artists in a label that, until now, gave us only brilliant releases!

Heerhorst & Meissner - Fahrstuhlmusik

The latest release (nr.9) on Kompass Musik , one of our favorite labels, presents a great work of Heerhorst & Meissner. Their only previous record was very nice and comparing with this one u can see the improvements in their production. "Fahrstuhlmusic", the first track of the ep, is the main one! A peace of art full of emotion. The melody is simply amazing and gathered with a deep bass makes it those kind of tracks that u can't get out of your mind. Nathan Fake kind of feelings if you know what i mean... Than you have "Whooop", a funky deep track that floates around minimal paths, perfect for the after-hours disturbed times. This ep ends with "Heroin", a track that during simple reduced beats tells you a story of an addicted guy... the vocal is nice and amusing but the music is not the kind of stuff i like! The A side is basically the important thing here. Enjoy

Tigerskin & Antilope - Just In Case

Tigerskin and Antilope formed a German aliance to produce this EP. Kompass musik releasing their 4th one always presenting brilliant choices. Just in Case is one of the best musics of the year... it has a great bassline side-lining with powerfull synths that marks all the music. Deep patterns and a great presentation of what the Berlim crue can produce, what a track. B side is more of the same, less pumpy but as groovy as the first. Top production! This release is just a way to say how music can be so enjoyable with its simplicity.
