Extrawelt - Deine Beine

Extrawelt (Arne Schaffhausen and Wayan Raabe) are undoubtedly one of best things I’ve listened my entire life! Their past influences based on Progressive Trance can be the cause, as I too, enjoyed some of those moments where they were known as Midimilz. Still, their sound is clearly different from the average, charging it with tremendous emotions and a respectable knowledge on what concerns to music production – the best example of this fact is their album (Schone Newe Extrawelt) that was posted here during October where they’ve shown all their skills. Now they are back, this time on Traum to deliver an inspirating Ep. The first track of “Deine Beine” is the one that marked me the most… “Mit Liese Auf Der Wiese” transmits such an incredible feeling that It’s difficult to explain, a smooth beat followed by melancholic chords that keep growing and growing making you wonder how beautiful and penetrating this style of music can be. After this one comes “Clap’s Cally” with it’s hypnotic chords, 4by4 rhythm and low synths… a great tool to be spread during night. “Was Ubrig Bleibt” finishes the Ep in great harmony and a sense of enjoyability and kindness floating around deep dub patterns.
Definitely, one of the best works I’ve listened the entire year…

Johannes Heil & Extrawelt & Gregor Tresher - The Double Feature

When i saw that this three German artists united to make an album i couldn’t let it pass by… The Double Feature includes two fabulous track where Johannes Heil teams up in the first with Extrawelt and in the other with Gregor Tresher. Let’s start from the beginning with “Erdbeerfeld”… 12 minutes of an amazing journey through the most delicate sounds that this kind of music can prove i This music is so well created that will make wonders in the dancefloors. The amount of things that you can feel during it its incredible, not to miss!
In the B side theres another kind of music, most enhanced with power but as well produced as the first one. It’s like if Heil was adapting to what Gregor Tresher normally does, building it step by step uniting perfectly all the ingredients that we like so much in this kind of minimal. “E” is a minimal tripped groovy track. It would fit perfectly in a set just right after “Erdbeerfeld”.
All I can say to you is that this Ep is unique cause it gathers two styles in the same genre of music… and it’s just not regular music, it’s done by some of the best producers of the world! I liked it a lot, hope you do to. Released on Metatron.

Extrawelt - Dist Theme

Dist Theme, the long awaited Ep from Extrawelt is finally out! The first release with the German duo - Arne Schaffhausen & Wayan Raabe - at Kompass Musik couldn't be better. A-side music (my favorite) can trick us up, it starts with a 4x4 beat, completely dry, that goes on and on and you start to imagine they aren't going anywhere... but then the melody rises and the story gains another feeling, the mixture between different styles like progressive trance and minimal techno ends up in a brilliant music. I didn't like the 2nd music that much but it's also a fine production with a nice groove directed to early hours in the night! "Yeah But No But Yeah", the last one, is absolutely insane. This one evolves to minimal techno standards with a melancholic melody coming along with it. It's a bit disturbing, but very well produced. Anyway it's a very nice release by one of our favorite artists in a label that, until now, gave us only brilliant releases!
